We conducted an Enter and View at Oak House Care Home at the beginning of June.
We focused on independence and choice and this report outlines our findings and the recommendations we have made to the care home.

Healthwatch Bracknell Forest, Healthwatch Slough, and Healthwatch Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead spoke to 580 women as part of this project to understand their experiences of local NHS women’s health services (excluding maternity care).

Out of these, 507 women completed a survey, and 73 took part in focus groups. These focus groups specifically aimed to hear from women of Asian heritage, whose voices were underrepresented in the national Women’s Health Strategy survey.

Following recent press reports regarding the potential closure of Healthwatch England as part of broader government organisational changes, we want to assure our communities, partners, and stakeholders that we remain fully committed to supporting the important work of our local Healthwatch teams.

Patient feedback on accessing the urgent care centre was generally good, with suggestions for improvement, including outdated street signage still directing patients to the closed walk-in centre.

Women will get routine reminders and options to book cancer screening through the NHS App, under a scheme being rolled out by the NHS over the next two years.

From next month the ‘ping and book’ service will start to operate through the NHS App, with reminders popping up in phones, NHS chief executive Amanda Pritchard said.
